Ruth Westmont
Ruth Westmont previously served as the chair of the General Practice Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, attesting to the broad wealth of experience she has accumulated in her 20 years of legal work.
She currently serves as the co-chair of the Membership & Special Events committee of the Dane County Bar Association.
Ruth has a strong background in family law, real estate, criminal law and a wide range of civil litigation. She has recently been designated by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to be a part of their panel of recommended attorneys.
Ruth holds both a law degree and a Masters degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a licensed social worker in Wisconsin. She has received advanced training in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Her past experience includes working as lead litigation counsel for a quasi-governmental association and leading a large non-profit organization.
Anne C. Scipior
Anne
C. Scipior is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. During
Law School, Anne participated in clinical programs with the Frank J.
Remington Center Restorative Justice and Family Law Projects and completed
externships with the Outagamie County District Attorney's Office and the
Wisconsin Department of Justice.
Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Anne has bachelor's degrees in English
and History from the University of Michigan. In her free time, Anne enjoys
spending time with her family and friends, watching football and cooking.
Anne practices primarily in the areas of family law, estate planning,
probate and misdemeanor criminal defense.
Dobie Gutweiler
Dobie
joined the firm in February 2010 as a paralegal bringing with her 8 years of
experience with various attorneys in the Madison area.
Dobie handles research and drafting of court documents for the firm.
Lou Riese
Lou joined the firm as our legal assistant in March 2012 and holds an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Madison Area Technical College. She is a member of LEX, the National Paralegal Honor Society.
A life-long Madisonian, in her free time Lou enjoys spending time with her five children and her two grandchildren, she also loves to read and watch baseball.
