Ruth Westmont previously served as the chair of the General Practice Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, attesting to the broad wealth of experience she has accumulated in her 30 years of legal work.
She currently serves as the co-chair of the Membership & Special Events committee of the Dane County Bar Association.
Ruth has a strong background in family law, real estate, criminal law and a wide range of civil litigation. She has recently been designated by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to be a part of their panel of recommended attorneys.
Ruth holds both a law degree and a Masters degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a licensed social worker in Wisconsin. She has received advanced training in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Her past experience includes working as lead litigation counsel for a quasi-governmental association and leading a large non-profit organization.
Maggie Premo joined Westmont Law Offices after working as an attorney in western Wisconsin for several years.
She has experience in many areas of the law including, but not limited to, civil litigation, trust and estate planning, real estate law, OWI defense and family law.
Maggie has extensive litigation experience including numerous trial successes.
Maggie graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School and also obtained an English degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Maggie takes pride in zealously advocating for her clients and in fully educating them about their legal issues so they can make the best decisions regarding their cases. One of Maggie’s main passions in life is helping animals and she is happy to help with any animal-related legal issues. In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending time with family and friends, spoiling her dogs, exploring new places, being outside and cycling.
joined the firm in February 2010 as a paralegal bringing with her 8 years of
experience with various attorneys in the Madison area.
Dobie handles research and drafting of court documents for the firm.
In her free time Dobie enjoys spending time with her husband Brad, four children and three grandsons. Additonally, Dobie is the Vice-president of the Deansville Hourseshoe Club and plays hourseshoes year round.
Tara joined Westmont Law Office in May 2013 as a legal assistant.
She grew up on the North Side of Madison, has an extensive background in the administrative career field, and has proudly served her country for the past 16 plus years as an enlisted member in the Wisconsin Air National Guard.
When not at work,
she can be found chasing her daughter and rescue dog around the local dog
park scene here in Madison.
